Public Safety
The Rio Lindo Channel is a corridor that runs through the center of Chico. It has become vastly overgrown which has become a fire risk and a conduit for crime. It will take a multi-pronged approach to restore this green space to its natural ecosystem. The fire department, police department and local citizens will need to work together to restore this to a healthy habitat.
Community Partner
The families of District 3 are a small tight knit community, that have a sense of taking care of one another, neighbors helping neighbors. They deserve competent leadership and care for the use of their taxpayer dollars for positive workable solutions for a better tomorrow.

Deteriorating Infrastructure
District 3 is a community of working class families. People who want their kids to walk and bike to school safely and that is why infrastructure is important. Therefore it’s vital to have functioning infrastructure not only for the motorists but for the alternate modes of transportation. The major arteries in District 3 take a lot of abuse because many people travel from one side of town to the other. Therefore, support needs to be given to Public Works, engineers and others who want to improve streets for our citizenry.

"The upcoming November 8, 2022 Election will be for the selection of three (3) members of the City Council to serve four-year terms of office representing Districts 2, 4, and 6. In addition, the Council member for the remaining two years left on the District 3 term will be selected by the original District 3 voters in the 2020 election. Council member Bennett was appointed to fill the vacancy in District 3, with the remaining two years of that term being determined at the 2022 election.
